Shorties U 2019

Shorties U 2019 The Sylvania Community Arts Commission is excited to again offer the Shorties U in 2019! To support young filmmakers in our community, we developed the Shorties U youth film program for students in 5th through 8th grade. Led by area experts, this 4-day workshop experience takes students through the steps of how to create their own short films – including developing an idea, writing a script, shooting on a budget and the fundamentals of editing. During the course of the workshop students also participate in making team short films. This year the workshop will be held in Sylvania from 9 am – noon on Saturday January 26, February 2, 9 and 23 (there is a one-week gap due to school break the weekend of 2/16). The registration fee is $75 per student and includes all workshop costs. After registering online, you will receive an email the week before the workshop begins with the required release forms and more information.  Register today at www.SylvaniaArts.org! Please call us at (419) 517-0118, or email sylvaniaarts@gmail.com with any questions.
