2021 Educator of the Year
Some Our administrators are helping kick off the 2021 Educator of the Year Nominations by showing appreciation for our employees in this video.

Nominations will be accepted through Friday, May 7, 2021

The purpose of the Educator of the Year program is to recognize an outstanding contribution of time, talent and/or effort to Sylvania Schools. Historically, Educator of the Year nominees possess a number of characteristics and attitudes that set them apart from their colleagues or other school volunteers. Nominees are competent, caring individuals who time and again go out of their way to make a positive impact on youth. To help the selection committee better understand how your nominee meets these high standards, please provide specific examples of how he or she has made an impact on young people. In addition to those specific objective comments, also include your impressions of what makes this individual such a special person.

IMPORTANT:
• Nominations are only accepted with an accompanying and thoughtful essay (100 or more words) supporting your nomination. Please complete the essay section with information about why this person is deserving of a nomination and his/her work toward the district’s goals.
• Nominees who have been named Educators of the Year in 2018, 2019, 2020 are not eligible to be selected for the award this year, however, they can be nominated.
• Nominators cannot be related to the nominee.
• Nominations should be self-initiated and not in response to a request from another party (e.g. students cannot nominate as a part of a class assignment.)
