Technology

Technology Department

The Technology Department works to support all technology district wide. We have 12 schools, 2 administrative buildings, about 7000 Chromebooks/Chromeboxes, 4000 computers, 20 servers, countless printers, SmartBoards, projectors, document cameras, sound systems and much more. We also manage the systems necessary to operate a school district such as the student information system, lunch system, transportation system, media center system and many more.

We help in other ways as well in managing the state reporting responsibilities for student information, commonly known as EMIS and the E-Rate program which allows us to receive some funds from the federal government to improve the technology infrastructure in schools.

We are excited to have Chromebooks in the hands of our students in grades 6-12! This is exciting as it opens the door for our students to access 21st Century Skills on a daily basis. The world we are sending our students into is technology based. It is extremely important to allow our students the opportunities to learn in the same way they will work. Our teachers are embracing different learning models and new approaches to learning and collaborating. Students in our lower grades, K-5, also spend time on Chromebooks as classroom sets are shared throughout all seven of our elementary schools. We have definitely made great strides in technology integration district wide and are excited to be providing our students with the tools they need to be successful in their future endeavors!
