Sylvania Schools utilizes a variety of technology to assist students in their education. For some of those resources, parents and guardians will have access to view those systems. Details about how to access those systems are below.

Schoology is the district supported LMS (Learning Management System). It provides students with a centralized portal for connection to classes and assignments. Parent/Guardian accounts allow you to have a "view only" look into the system, allowing you to see upcoming assignments, etc. In order to create an connect your student to a Schoology parent account, you will need a unique Schoology Access Code. This code is provided to you on the top of the student schedule each year and will look something like this.

To create your account, please follow these steps.

There is also a Schoology Mobile app if you wish to use it.  It can be found in the Apple App or Google Play store under the name "Schoology". 

Important, when students sign into the mobile app, they MUST select "Sign in through my school" and then search for and select "Sylvania Schools". This will allow them to sign in using their district-provided Google account.  Students will NOT search for their specific school.  

In the  mobile app, parents will select "Sign in with my account".

PowerSchool is the district Student Information System (SIS). This is our source for student final grades, transcripts. attendance, state reporting, etc. Parents and Guardians of students in grades 6-12 may create a PowerSchool account to see student schedules, attendance details, final grades, etc. PowerSchool also allows a single-sign on connection MySchoolBucks (the district fee payment system).

To create a PowerSchool parent account, you will need an ACCESS ID and ACCESS PASSWORD to connect your student to your account. This information is also provided yearly at the top of student schedules.

PowerSchool Mobile App

Like Schoology, PowerSchool also offers a mobile app for parents and students.  After downloading PowerSchool from your app store, you will need to enter a "District Code" before signing in.  Sylvania Schools district code is KCLX.
