Sylvania Families,
We are pleased to announce that Tim Zieroff was appointed Assistant Superintendent at last night’s Board of Education meeting. You may recall that Mr. Zieroff previously held this position. After spending time in the private sector, we are thrilled that he has decided to return to education and specifically to our District.

In an email to staff last week, Mr. Zieroff shared, “The corporate environment, while valuable in its own right, lacked the intrinsic rewards and sense of fulfillment that come from working with a school district and team that directly contributes to the growth of students. I want to thank Dr. Motley and the Board of Education for the potential opportunity to once again be a part of a community that prioritizes the development and well-being of its students. I would also like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to Kyle Kanuckel for the stability he provided, ensuring the continued success of the district during his tenure.

“To conclude, it goes without saying that I am excited about the possibility of rejoining the Sylvania School District and continuing the important work that we collectively strive for. Enjoy a well-deserved winter break with family and friends and see you soon.”

Mr. Zieroff will return on January 3.
