The English Language Arts department at Southview supports students in their mastery of a wide variety of communication and critical thinking skills. This involves public speaking, critical reading of both literary fiction and informational texts, modern methods of research, analytical, explanatory, argumentative, and creative writing, collaborative learning, and much more. The teachers of the English department push students to explore their own intellectual interests and collaborate with peers. Click on the video link below for more information.
