Julie Hoffman

A graduate of Southview High School, Julie began her service on the Sylvania Board of Education member in 2010.  She graduated from The University of Toledo with a B.A. in psychology. Later, she earned her Juris Doctorate from The University of Toledo College of Law. Passionate about advocating for children, Julie is an attorney in private practice with a focus on family law and has spent much of her career working as a Guardian Ad Litem for abused and neglected children. She is the proud mother of two Northview graduates. Julie is honored to serve the Sylvania community.  
 
Greg Feller
Greg Feller began his service on the Sylvania Schools Board of Education in 2020. He is a graduate of Purdue University and moved with his wife, Christine, to Sylvania in 2003. His three children currently attend Sylvania Schools; Katie attends Southview, Ethan attends Timberstone, and Jack attends Central Trail. Professionally, Greg is a civil engineer specializing in real estate development and is owner/president of a civil engineering firm, Feller, Finch and Associates. Greg is currently on the Toledo Home Builders Association Board, SAJRD Board, and 
Sylvania Rec Board and was a past board member of Habitat for Humanity.

Kimberly Conklin
Kimberly attended Bowling Green State University where she obtained a degree in Journalism.  After a period of active duty in the United States Army (Air Defense) she attended The University of Toledo’s College of Law. She has been an attorney for 18 years with The Kerger Law Firm. Kimberly's practice is focused on labor and employment law and general litigation.  She is a member of the Toledo Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association. Kimberly's family, originally from Toledo,  made several moves during her childhood and she's proud to say she attended five different elementary schools and three high schools located in three different states during her public school journey. Kimberly moved to Sylvania in 1998 and currently lives with her husband Shaun, and two children, Claire, who attends McCord and Bree, who attends Highland. Kim is an active member of the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio and currently co-leads two troops. In her free time, Kim is an avid camper and cherishes anytime she can get in front of a campfire.    

Tammy Lavalette
Tammy Lavalette was appointed to the Board in early 2021 and was elected to a four-year term in November 2021. She holds a BA with a major in political science from Ohio University and a JD from the University of Toledo College of Law. Tammy and her husband, Peter, have been happy to call Sylvania home since 2008. They are the proud parents of three children: Kate graduated from Northview High School in 2022 and is currently enrolled at Miami University of Ohio; Daniel and Caroline are currently Northview students.  Tammy takes great joy in raising her children and enthusiastically volunteers her time with their various pursuits. Professionally, Tammy is a Senior Attorney with the City of Toledo, where she handles a variety of civil litigation matters. Tammy serves on the board of the Sylvania Prevention Alliance and is active with the Northview Band and Orchestra Boosters. She is also a member of the Toledo Bar Association and currently serves on its Board of Directors.

Jill Johnson

Jill Johnson has been a resident of Sylvania for over thirty years. She currently resides in Sylvania Township with her husband Dr. Larry Johnson, a licensed psychologist. She has grandchildren attending Sylvania schools. Jill received Bachelor of Education (non-teaching) and Master of Public Administration/Healthcare Administration degrees from the University of Toledo as well as a Master of Science in Nursing from The Medical College of Ohio At Toledo (aka UTMC). She began her nursing career obtaining a Registered Nurse degree from the Toledo Hospital School of Nursing. Jill is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, practicing for 20 years in Family Practice, general Surgery Practice, and Oncology. She is recently retired from ProMedica Hickman Cancer Center where she was the coordinator/developer of the Cancer Survivor Program. Additionally, she has experience in leadership/management positions, school nursing, and Home Care Administration. Jill was selected as a 2016 Leukemia and Lymphoma Society "Woman of the Year Campaign" candidate. She serves on the Board for Sylvania Area Family Services (SAFS), is an active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Sylvania, and serves as a volunteer for The Victory Center.

Please note that each person addressing the Board is limited to 3 minutes.
